My Salt 1 is go to knife for day hikes and I was looking for a fixed blade for longer trips. Anybody have any experience with the aqua salt for backpacking canoe trips?
I've only had mine a few months and haven't had a chance to take it backpacking or canoeing yet, but I think it would be great for both of those activities. Obviously, the H1 steel makes it a first choice anytime water is involved and it's lightweight which is a plus for backpacking.
IMO, the blade length is perfect for camp chores, and while I don't generally baton wood when backpacking, others have reported that the Aqua Salt performs that task well for a knife its size.
