I used the title as an analogy to my opinion of the Buck 110. There was recently a post on the Buck 110. My opinion comparing it to newer offerings makes as much sense as the above comparison. They all work and just fine too! Here is a comment made to me by a Ranger who served in I Corp. When they were on long patrol against regs guess what they used? And they never found a dead combatant (politically correct term) with an M-16. Conclusion? Whatever suits you.

I carried a 2-dot 110 all day every day for over 20 years, used it for everything. In my mind it’s more analogous to a bolt rifle, say a Win M70 in 30-06. It’s big and heavy, it’s sometimes too much tool for the job, it’s reliable and mechanically straightforward.

If you grew up with faster and fancier tools, you might not appreciate what it offers, but if you have a long history with it, there’s a satisfaction that’s just missing from newer, more expensive models.

Conclusion?
Under Communist rule , it's not smart to favor Western Capitalist products or culture . 😒

AR-15 had some growing pains , but the Colt AR-15 Sporter , I bought in the '70's , has never had any issues .

Cold Steel Max Scout or AD-10 Lite , on sale~$40 , IMO beats anything from Buck , especially at that price point . 🤔

Andúril, also called the Flame of the West and the Sword Reforged, was the sword which was reforged from the shards of Narsil in Rivendell.

It was the sword of Aragorn II Elessar, heir of Isildur.

Very bright was that sword when it was made whole again; the light of the sun shone redly in it, and the light of the moon shone cold, and its edge was hard and keen. And Aragorn gave it a new name and called it Andúril, Flame of the West."

All too true.

And yet, today the Marines are transitioning to an H&K with a different operating system and the Army is seriously looking at something called the XM-7; a completely new rifle from SIG with a wholly different cartridge.

The horse had stopped quivering by the end of the other 110 thread. We don't need another for a while.

And at this point this thread has taken several weird turns and become a hodgepodge of topics. So it is closed.
