AR folder?

The AR is now being made with S30V blade steel(BG42 previously). As far as availibility, the AR is very hard to come by at dealers (like they were easy to get at some time in the past). I think other projects are taking priority over the AR.

Just guess I will have to find someone selling one in S30V or join the waiting list. In no rush at the moment as I don't have the cash, but well worth saving for.

I was amazed after seeing a TAD modified GB folder a little while back! Slabs of huge metal with a stout blade. Amazing 'tank' like folder.:D
 
Wayne, welcome to the Strider forum! The AR in S30V (or BG-42, I'm sure) is an INCREDIBLE folder. Technically a liner lock, it's really a frame lock with G10 scales. The liner is about 2/3 the thickness of the frame of a large Sebenza. Like I said in the Chris Reeve forum, it comes with the BEST guarantee I know of and the customer service/after sale support is SUPERB.

I didn't realize you'd seen a GB. You're right, the AR/GB is NOT subtle.
