Well, I have had my AR for a little over a week now and I have managed to put a nice little cut in the tip of my little finger on both hands. It looks like the tip of the blade is still slightly exposed when closed. I would really like to not have my blood all over the thing, so I'm wondering if this can be adjusted. Anyone had the same problem, and if so, how did you fix it?

The tip of my AR is not exposed, but it seems very close to the edge of the grip. I have not cut myself, but if the pad of your finger presses into the grip, you can feel the rough edge of the tip.

I do not plan to do anything about it now.

I have seen threads from other people on this, and I'll bet that Mick will figure out some type of retro fix. It appears that the circular divot in front of the choil that engages the back spacer when closed could be ground a bit deeper. However, if you close mine very slowly it seems like the blade engages a ball detent to keep the blade closed. Grinding a deeper divot might affect this detent.

What the hell do I know, I come from Waunakee. The gremlins at Strider will shoot a flaming arrow into my door when the fix is ready. For now I just enjoy the knife.

Whose blood do you want all over it? Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk...

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I'm giddy from the good news that I'll get my new S30V AR with double thumblugs & black clip TOMORROW.

I had the finger biting problem fixed by Strider. Send it in.

Also, my AR opens just fine lefty without the thumbstud.

I just got mine back today also-problem fixed. I went ahead and had them put in the dual thumb studs while it was there. Mine works great now-big difference from before. I'm glad that I sent it in and Strider was able to fix it.
