Aranyik, prices? Catalog? Availability? Reasonable substitutes?

Hey all,
I really love the Aranyik line of blades, from the Enep, to the Dao, to the coconut machete. My problem is not knowing how much each of the models cost, and shipping as well as availability. I could email the 1 dude in Hawaii running the show for the rest of us, but I'd rather not bother him, I also want to know (what you awesome dudes on BF think) if there blades that come close to the durability, performance, craftsmanship, and affordability of the aranyik line (Condor??? Maybe?) while still being more available. I never had heard of aranyik before the numerous YouTube videos done on them by the amazing Wealljuggleknives. Any input from even the least knowledgeable on this one would be appreciated. I have an OLD Collins engineer bolo that I'm in the process of polishing and sharpening back to sharpness, with a hand done convex edge. This will "hold me over" for a while, but I really want to get my hands on a larger enep and maybe a narong or Dao pole machete. Thanks all
-JT

Aranyik is solely imported by Miles in Hawaii but he only brings in blades once a year. ... you can email him directly. Condor would be a good second choice but there are some things the Miles has that you can't get anywhere else. The Aranyik line of E-neps are outstanding. I have 3 of them sizes 2 0 and -1. The 0 is my favorite.

My e-nep was less than 50 bucks shipped to me in Idaho. As for who makes anything similiar.... no one really. The things are so ugly looking at it could cause cancer but i think that amount of ugly is awesome, sort of like rat rods.

Condor makes some nice stuff, im a big fan of the Golok, but they arent the same as the Aranyiks. The availability is pretty sparce but they do have a Facebook page you can check.

As was mentioned, you basically have to contact Miles(I can't link to the Aranyik website here, but Google is your friend) directly to get pricing and availability. It won't bother him, he specifically suggests you do that and gives his email for that purpose on the Aranyik page. I CAN however say he's sold out of everything currently(my last order was one of his last to be filled), and that he's currently working on a few new designs, including a 2 handed enep. As for prices, I have I think around 8-10 Aranyik blades currently, and most of them were around $40-50 each(shipping will run like $15 though so be aware), so that seems to be the norm for Aranyik stuff. You might wanna "Like" Aranyik on Facebook if you have an account there, it's the best way to find out when their stuff becomes available, and they also show stuff that sometimes doesn't go up on the main Aranyik page, such as this short Dao machete with wood handles(the website only shows the socket handle model):

In the meantime, go with Condor. They make a great product and most of them are in the same range. They don't have the same stuff Miles does, but they have some great products in their own right.

Wow that is pretty cool!

Yeah, it ran I think $40...I got it and a "pra" sickle, a short pole 2 hand version, which was I believe $65.

I like it! How big are we talking here? Ive got a -1 E-Nep that is just about the right size.

A pic of it with some other choppers of mine

The Dao is smaller than the K-1(I have one of those as well, what a beastly knife), 10.5 inch blade, 15.5 inch overall.

In that pic you showed, what's the bottom knife? I have the others(Condor Barong, Kabar, Condor Golok, and the K-1 right? What a nice selection!) but that bottom one isn't familiar to me...

Its a Khukuri House Mukti. Its a beastly sort of knife at like a third of an inch thick

I have wanted one of those Eneps for a while... I haven't figured out how to order them, though, and I don't see a list of prices anywhere.

You can only order them through the seller directly(he occasionally lists stuff on Amazon, but rarely, in limited quantity, and I've never seen him list the eneps there anyways), and you have to contact him about prices. He has both an Aranyik website and a Facebook page where you can get in contact with him. Word of warning though, Aranyik stuff has limited availability as Miles gets only 1 shipment of blades per year, and once they're gone, that's it for the year(he is currently sold out of everything until 2014).

Are you still able to get a few of the Aranyik Knives? What would the price be for the third one down in the picture. Thanks
