Need to order a few things from Enco and they have their arbor presses on sale a little cheaper than HF. Was going to grab the 1/2 ton to do eyelets for kydex, but wondering if stepping up to the 1 ton would be a better investment for who knows what for down the road that may come up. Thoughts?

one ton for sure if you need to torque down les youll get more control over what you want to do.

I bought the 1/2 ton press from Enco, and in my opinion it is more than adequate for pressing eyelets and other "press" type fasteners. In fact, sometimes I press a little too hard with it and leave imprints from the dies in the kydex. If I had the money to spend on a 1 ton, I'd personally find more use out of spending a little more for two 1/2 ton presses so that I could reduce setup time when pressing different sized eyelets and other fasteners.

YMMV.
