I published a novel on Amazon last year and didn’t want to toot my own horn about it, but my wife has convinced me I should at least let online friends and acquaintances know. Some of you already know I began professional life as a writer and editor, and this is something I always wanted to do—finally did.

The book is titled “Arc” and if you go to Amazon and put “arc will york” in the search field it will come up.

Not everyone’s cup of tea for sure. I decided not to write for a specific market—just wrote it for myself. But amazingly I have received some positive responses.

I would describe Arc as a work of contemporary science fiction with western themes and broad philosophical exploration, and yes, there’s a Busse in it though not in a prominently dramatic or violent role. I didn’t want it to be just another predictable novel, and at that I may actually have succeeded—for better or for worse.

Anyway, now you know. For better or for worse. :D

Thanks for the heads up--I'll check it out over the winter break (I'm a professor, so I'll have some time off). Good for you, with regard to writing!

Thanks for the warm response guys! Arc hasn’t been published in hard copy, but you can read it in “e form” on any device—smart phone, tablet or any computer. Font size is adjustable. (you don’t have to own a Kindle)

So, I don’t have a Kindle, but I do have a Nook! Couldn’t find it on B&N though. Is it there or is there any chance of getting it there?

There’s probably a way to buy the Kindle version and read it on the Nook, but... probably better not to talk about that.

Only on Amazon—just haven’t gotten around to the other e-book purveyors. Sorry about that—didn’t occur to me that other book devices might not handle it. I don’t own a Kindle, either, but I purchased Arc myself from Amazon to see how it works on other devices, and as I said I can read it on my tablet, iPhone and laptop no problem.

Thats great man! Definately going to look into it. Best of luck to future endeavors.
PS, you ever get that BK inspired custom?

So it’s going to be on the Nook store? :)

Would you do me a favor and just post an update in this thread when it’s available to purchase there? Because it is absolutely intriguing to me, and right up my alley, as I write sci-fi, myself.

Sorry, no—not available anywhere other than Amazon, and no plans to publish elsewhere. Sorry if I confused the issue, bro. I’d be amazed if Amazon doesn’t sell to Nook owners, though.

Ah, the famous tactical Butter Knife!

I did contact Garth about a similar blade with Res-C handle back when the Custom Shop was operating, but he wasn’t doing any customs with Res-C that couldn’t be modded from current production blanks. Too bad—would have been killer IMO.

You could always download the Kindle app for your phone/tablet/pc.

That's all you need. the app plus a tablet, laptop or phone and you're g2g. Can also use a desktop pc or tv but i's less convenient
