Arc AA

I just received three Arc AA seconds (the first run Arc AAs don't ship until later this week), and just wanted to say how much I like this little light. Though my AAs are seconds, it would take very attentive eye to discern any defects. One of my AAs has a little scratch in the anodizing, but the others are perfect. Dunno on what basis the firsts were separated from the seconds, but mine, at any rate, are excellent.

The AA is a fair amount bigger than the AAA model, so it might be a bit clunky to use as a keychain light. It's perfect, though, for slipping into a jacket or pants pocket and carrying unobtrusively. The AA is substantially brighter than the Arc AAA, and has aproximately twice the run time (which I believe translate to about ten hours of regulated light).

All in all, I think Arc has got another winner here. If you're an Arc fan, you owe it to yourself to get an AA!

I spoke to the UK supplier. They are going to give me a ring when they get them in.
I have my Lithium battery ready!

FYI, per PeterG I think they are sold out at this point. Look for them at dealers.

Who is the UK supplier? I usually buy mine direct from the USA.

I got my AAs directly from Arc, via FedEx International Express. Cost $20, but happily there were no customs duties to pay. I think you can still get AA seconds from Arc. They're not selling any more first run AAs, though. Not because they're sold out, but because what's left has been alotted to Arc's dealers.

Here is the pre-order page for the first run AAs. You can't order from this page anymore, but there's a better description of the AA than the seconds page gives. In fact, the seconds page doesn't contain any description at all, aside from the picture of the flashlight.
