a few yrs ago i bought or swapped for a ARC AAA clone, it was IIRC a clone body w/a arc head, something like that, anyway when its working it seems to be on par with my std ARC AAA except it seems like the batt goes down too far into the case and doesnt make contact, ya can unscrew, take the batt out/put it back in/ it works fine for a little bit, i would presume a spring in the base isnt strong enough maybe?? it was purchased in the time frame right after the original arc went outta biz, does anyone know who could fix the thing for me?? i dont think its anything major, but its a PITA the way it is.

any info appreciated,

Just stretch the spring out. You can make a hook out of a paper clip to grab it with.

thanks coug that makes sense, i'll try it.

ryan its a dark OD body much like a std arc but a little darker, IIRC it is brass, correct about it being peak i remember now, and no not a bad light at all was looking at it today and comparing to the arc and its about the same thing, MIGHT be just a touch dimmer, they are so close i'm not certain, and the spring problem, but no not a bad light i know i didnt pay much for it (IIRC ~$25 w/shipping i got it 2nd hand) as far as size again pretty close if not the same.

10-4 about the $100 arcs, i got lucky and found an arc AAA for !$50 and got it and my wife just had to have one so i got her the peak when all the arcs i found were ~$100 or so, a little pricey for me ,for an arc AAA anyway lol.

thanks for the info guys i appreciate it...........
