Hey Guys,
This has probably been discussed previously but I don't often make it over to this forum.

Are there any ARC AAA's left around for a reasonable price? If so can someone email where they might be e.isaacson@insightbb.com

Otherwise what is a good subsitute?

I didn't buy enough of the ARC's when they were around and now I regret it :(

Thanks in advance

:D:D

You can paypal an order now if you don't want/care about packaging.

Don't know when the credit card will be up. latest estimates to include packing in August 1. However, since there will be a large demand, I think August 1 is optimistic. I'd guess Sept 1.

Are they shipping any now? I don't care about the packaging, but I'd like to make sure the light arrives

They are shipping in batches. If you do the pay pal thing, they ships in the order they are received. So you may have to wait a batch or two ( a few weeks ) until they get to you.

someone on ebay probably has them now.

If you REALLY need one I have an "old" premium I got last year right before ARC folded.

I think the wait is more like days than weeks. You can email Peter@gransee.com and he'll give you the scoop. I have three of the new ones. I've always been a fan of the old Arc company, and have more than 20 of them as well.

Here's a pic I took of one of the new ones. Accidentally turned out nice!

That 2 week delay is to wait for the retail packaging. You can request a "quick ship" option and get an Arc now, which comes with no retail packaging. See here.

Sorry Owen - post edited.

best regards

Yeah, I was just messing with Eric, 'cause the "two weeks" wait time Arc is quoting struck me funny :D

generally, flashaholics don't support MAG. Their policy of suing everyone in order to preserve their market share has made them unpopular.

Also I doubt a drop in will be built as well or give the performance of an ARC.

If the new AAA is 80% brighter than the old one, then it will melt a Solitaire, anyway. By the time you buy the Solitaire, drop in, pay shipping and handling, etc you'd be better off with the Arc, anyway. The Peak AAA with 3 LED's was as bright as the old Arc AAA, but I need to try out one of these new ones. Should be awesome!

Does anyone have any reviews out for these new Arc-AAAs? I'd like to see exactly how they compare to other lights.
