I developped a kind of obsession about Chute knives during the last months. Here’s the result of my first custom order at Wesley Liversage Knives in South Africa. I wanted to go for an early Archer/Loveless Chute design and because I absolutely love the grind line with the swedge. As you can see, Wesley just nailed it at the backstand ! The holes in the guard are more of an homage to the original Loveless knife than a usefull feature to me. I had hard times to choose the micarta color and decided to go for light brown/yellowish canvas micarta instead of the more usual green and black. End result is looking awesome especially with the matching color leather sheath. For now, I can’t tell about N690 steel and treatment but I’m sure I’ll enjoy to use it in the wild.

Last but not least, Wesley is a fantastic maker to deal with and quality/price ratio for such a knife is just insane !

Really nice piece. I like that the guard has the lashing holes. I like the versions that include that important feature.

I love Chute Knives, own a couple of Loveless. That is great looking knife, you're right, he nailed it.

Thanks for the kind comments on Wesley's work. I have to add Wesley wasn't used to Chute knives, mostly mini wilderness, drop point etc. Even if it's not his first Chute, it's still quite impressive.

Very nice looking Chute. One of my favorite styles of knives and over the years I have added ones from various makers for a total of eight together in a display case. Early when collecting, micarta was common but because of discoloration over time the collection is now devoid of the material. Congrats!!
