When I made my thread asking for suggestions on a new bow, I was surprised that I got as much feedback as I did. Never realized that there were more than a few archers on here. That being said, if you are one of them, post some pics of your bow(s). I'm interested to see what you guys are shooting. I finally have my bow setup with all the goodies on it (just got the stabilizer in today) so here she is:

Not a real good picture of a bow, mine is kinda shy. Diamond Black Ice, Tru glow sight, Hostage octane rest.

Mathews Conquest Pro - I have been using this for 15+ years

Martin - Jaguar recurve 45#

That's a sharp looking bow
I can't find any pictures that show the entire bow, but I will add these to your thread...
Mathews Switchback. I've had this Mathews for about 5 years. I thought I really wanted to get a new bow last year, but I just couldn't justify it. I'm still really happy with it. In the past I've owned a couple other Mathews, Bowtech, Browning, and Martins too..

Im just waiting to see a carbon matrix.... i'm going to be that guy with no pictures just words but I have:

-Hoyt Mystic Rebel XT
-PSE Impala
-Martin Gonzo Safari
-An older Pearson compound and a bear recurve

Came across this thread while browsing and had a question. Since I was about 12 (25 years now) I've only shot a traditional recurve bow with no sights. Unless you count my kid's 25 lb. compound, I don't even remember using a compound bow once. How different is it to go from a recurve to a compound and from no sights to pin or other sights?

The basic principals are the same but I find a compound easier to shoot. Thanks to the cam(s), you only have to hold back a fraction of the full draw weight where as with a recurve you are holding that weight all the way through the draw. This allows you more time to line up your shot and for a lot of archers, this means better accuracy. I always felt that with recurves I was rushing my shots. The only transition between going from recurve to compound I guess would be adjusting to using a peep sight and pin sight and once you have your bow dialed in, its as simple as lining up the pin with your target. Also, with compounds, you use a trigger release instead of your fingers so that may take some getting used to. If you have a bow shop/range anywhere near you, its worth it to make a trip to shoot a couple demo bows to see how you like them. Another thing to note is that your draw length will be longer on a compound since the release takes up a couple inches from your hand to the string.

I shoot both traditional and compound. 3-d shoots depend on my mood really, I learned on traditional. Compound is kind of different because rather than acquire your target as you draw and release at full length, you can hold and aim. Traditional is also usually bare finger or finger tab, and compound is mechanical release. Arrow rests are different also, as compound normally don't have a shelf, but an arrow rest. And I also still have my mystic rebel, it was the first good bow I bought myself.
