I got out this eve. & practiced with my bow a little, getting ready for 3-D next month ! here is a few pics of my bow & me & my 30yd group
My bow is a 2010 PSE Vendetta XL, I'm shooting Carbon Force Radial X-Weave 350's. Just for an Idea of size, I'm 6'1" - 199lbs.

Very impressive, your 30yd group looks like my 10yd group :P
Thanks....I try to shoot everyday(doesn't always work out) even if it's just for 10~15min. I'm not bragging:o Please don't take this post like that ! There are far better Archer's out there, just thought I'de share a few pics :)

nice shooting.

i was happy to get 8 arrows in a ~3" box @ ~20 yards.....

i need more practise.

Depends on what you want....your group would be a dead deer...no problem:thumbup: The more you practice the tighter your group will get, form is the most important part, anchor in the same exact spot every time you draw & Don't grip the handle on the bow, relaxe your hand & let the bow rest on your thumbpad or lifeline as some people call it ! Practice & have fun !

well, i'm usually after bunnies, cats, dogs, pigs and goats, as that's what's around to shoot locally.

i recently switched from a 3-vane straight fletch to 4-vane helical once i got a fletch jig and no longer have to try and freehand stick vanes back on.

might give 4" vanes a go once i burn through all these 2" ones.

I like the 2" blazer vanes, help me keep my speed & they work great with broadheads. The 4" vanes with a helical will help you be more accurate but will slow you down a couple of fps. You can put a helical on the 2" blazers with the right jig, my jig only does a 1deg offset, my buddies jig does a 3deg right hand helical. the factory blazers on the these arrows are straight fletch, I'll leave'em alone until I need to re-fletch'em :D

yuh, my Bitzenburger Dial-O-Fletch will put a very subtle helical on the 2" vanes, i think i need to fiddle with the offset a touch.

i really dont' mind losing a little arrow speed in return for accuracy improvments. my bow pumps 'em out just shy of 300fps at the moment. i don't rekon dropping down another 10-15fps will be any great loss of lethality.

mind you, i also need to tune my bow up.

here is my best 20 yard grouping from today :)

Now to work on 30 and 40 yard.....

edited to add:
Im a 27" draw 55lb shooting 400 grain arrows at 264fps. Hoyt Carbon Element. I have a great hunting setup I think.

You are making me jealous! I had to miss shooting at the range yesterday because I had a very, very late night.

Looking good !

have to give it to the bows for less noise & air pollution. many of the things associated with archery are naturally replacable, contribute to exercise & concentration. makes me hate living in the city,---dennis
