arclite sheath question

Ok,as a firefghter I carry a knife clipped to my pants pocket, which I can't get at with bunker gear on.I used to carry a spyderco rescue clipped to my coat pocket but lost that at a house fire the other night. You see your straps for your airpack ride right along the pocket and I think they got caught on the clip and pulled it out.

I'm looking at the arclite,I would like to hang it upside down from my pack, but how tight is the fit?Can it take some bouncing around upside down and not fall free?

This would be a great knife for this use.Easy to reach in that location,no fumbling to unfold with thick stiff gloves on ect.

Thanks:)

ive got a few recommendations.

first,go with the D2 version from www.agrknives.com
superior edge holding on this version.

second,if your going into a burning house with a kydex sheath,it has a very good chance of melting. i would say go with a leather sheath...yes,it costs more, but you wont lose your knife if your walking through hell.

I have an ArcLite and it's never fell out of the sheath. It's always positioned in the sheath right where I left it. I strap it upside down on my pack strap while doing some serious mountain biking. Bouncing, scraping, falling, catching on pockets, etc. and it still hasn't fell free. I've heard of some people not getting proper fit, and sent it back for a new one.

Thanks for the fast answers guys.:) BTW as far as melting goes,my face piece is rubber,my helmet plastic,we like to go "deep"and I've had linolium melt to my knees but if I'm in so deep the sheath melts well looks like I'd be,as we say 2:00-4:00,7:00-9:00.(calling hours).

well,if your mask doesnt melt...
i say go for it.
this is one of the best values om the market.
