Are Aftermarket Scales Available for the MANIX 2XL ??

Hey all.

Does anyone know if aftermarket scales are available for the Manix 2XL? I’m talking about scales in titanium or aluminum.

I looked at some of the popular places linked at various posts here and didn’t see a single one. I’m sure there’s places that would custom make a single set, but I’d guess the cost for a 1 off set of scales would be considerably more expensive. Anyone know? Has anyone dressed up your Manix 2XL? If so, I’d really like to see some pics.

One more thing….I have an original Endura that could stand a scale upgrade. As I looked though I saw plenty of scales for the ENDURA 4 and no other series. Anyone know if scales for the Endura 4 will fit my Endura??

Thanks for the help and merry Christmas to you all. May GOD bless you and your families and friends this holiday season.

Can't help on the Manix scales, but I can tell you that Endura4 scales will not fit on previous generations of Endura. In fact, the original Endura handle was a one-piece FRN molding. You'd have to build a new handle from scratch.

Flytanium used to have Ti and CF Manix XL scales. They are out of stock everywhere though. Below on a heavily used XL of mine. My prettiest XL scales are sculpted CF from Cuscadi. They also do G10, wood, etc. Putman has sculpted G10 scales, too.

Your Manixs have a screw by the lanyard loop. Mine do not...... : | Are those older models?

My mod. I add a standoff behind the lanyard to most of my Manix 2s. Like this:

Ah, I didn't see the pic initially. Cool. Thank you. That looks doable.... I imagine I can find something like that online? Maybe not though... you probably had to custom cut the standoff and fix or set the threads yourself?

Yes, I got some slightly longer standoffs (one of the knife maker suppliers, forgot whom, it's been a while), and ground it to length.

It's easier for Manix 2s with sceletonized liners, obviously: you can just use one of the liner cut-outs.
