Someone recently purchased a Camillus 12 inch marine and was suprised to find the tip was sharpened on both ends. The other edge had to be filed down to make it legal to have in his own home.
The website doesn't make a note of this. Please dealers don't leave out details like this. A locked up customer can not make more future purchases.
Otherwise can anyone tell me how this knife compares to the K-Bar version as far as quality (not looks I know) I was attracted to Camillus version because I heard the K-Bars don't have solid steel butts anymore but use "powdered metal" whatever that is Camillus has steel pommel however the blade strikes me as kind of narrow and thin, still good ??? but not nearly as good as their BK7. Has any one ever tested the Marine in hard use ?
