First off I'm left-handed. I carry my credit card wallet in my front left pocket. Two months ago I ordered my first knife in a long time. Going to carry it in my front right pocket. Wanted some 3" EDC knives I could use with either hand. After much research, I purchased a Delica4 and a mini grip. Delica4 came right away, and the mini grip was SO/BO. Didn't like the Delica4 right off the bat. Felt like a foot long handle with an inch long blade. Plus, the choil eats up a quarter of the blade.

While waiting for the back ordered mini grip, I purchased a Kershaw dividend in M390. Absolutely love it. I shouldn't because it's AO right, but I do. (like my first 18 wheeler with A/T. Knew I was going to hate it, but after driving through 50 miles of Houston without clutching, I was converted.) Still wondering what all the zealotry by the Spidey fans was about, I bought a Chaparral. OMG. Everything the Delica wasn't, the chaparral was. I'd give it an 11 on a scale of 10 if it had a lanyard hole. By the time the mini grip arrived, I had already purchased new scales for it, because everyone knows the factory scales suck. Wrong again. How did bench made design a knife that fit my hand perfectly? Awesome weight distribution, spot on size, and I can open and close that puppy like a street punk in a gang fight. Now those scales are sitting in a drawer with the Delica.

I won't bore you with the story behind my ~3.5" carrys: Blur in S30V, ZT 562cf and Manix2 (not PM2) in M4, suffice it to say I'm obviously not your average BF guy.

Let's recap: I like AO, don't like the two most popular Spidey's in the history of the world, and I like the factory scales on the little grip.

Are any of you right-handers this weird?

We'll I'm a lefty, and I'd say I do some things differently.

I use all scissors left handed, I hold and cast a fishing rod with my left hand, and prefer a guns breech to be on the right side.
Most of this stuff is probably because it's what I'm used to though.
As for knives goes I always carry left handed, I care how knives look though don't want them to be made for looks, and I don't like fast opening folders because I just don't need speed and fast moving blades open with an attention grabbing noise.

I liked my Link a lot too, and I will likely get an M390 Link or Dividend if I can't stop buying other knives for long enough. I also love the factory scales on the Mini Grip. Not the full size Grip though, weight balance is way off with the partial liners, prefer my CF DOAT scales to factory on that.

I am a lefty and I like Pikal knives. So yes, completely backwards.

Agree with you whole heartedly. Got one of those orange handled water resistant griptilians for my tacklebox. Would love a set of those DOAT beauties for it, but probably can't afford what they likely cost. But, if I sell the Delica4 and the AWT mini scales........I might have a chance.

Leftie here as well...I carry my wallet in my right hand pocket, write left handed, eat with my right hand, shoot left handed, carry my knife in my left front pocket, and wear my watch on my left hand. That odd?

I'm lefty except when swinging a baseball bat, go figure. I like the Buck Spitfire as it's very ambidextrous. I'm still resisting the Victorinox Soldier knife, a dedicated left handed liner lock, could be the only one. Don't know what I'd do with it as my Spartan does all I want but a left handed liner lock just seems like the right thing for me. I'll probably get it eventually.

Nope. I do a similar weird mix of LH/RH things. Scissors, baseball bat, kicking a ball, working a saw, other types of tools...all RH (or foot, in the case of kicking). Shooting, writing, eating...all LH. Knives, either hand. I literally carry some knives RH, the others LH. And oh yes: wallet in RH pocket. :)

I'm a lefty who's all over the place too.
Knife in the right pocket (because keys are in the left) wallet and watch on the right side. Right hand scissors and swinging a bat. Most all other tasks are done left handed.

I've been carrying a knife in my right pocket for 22 years and finally last year I bought my first left handed knife, a CRK large 25. I couldn't use it. I have been operating knives for too long with my right hand, I have been assimilated.

With that said, AO doesn't bother me, but I only own a few. I don't mind mini grip scales, but absolutely hate large grip scales.

Yay, a fellow lefty who is RH bat-and-scissors. We are indeed, rare specimens. :-) As for knife carry, I'm still a deeply confused lefty, I can't decide which way I prefer. I end up lefty a majority of the time, and usually switch all my pocket clips to the LH side.

What used to be hilarious as a lefty was when I played high school basketball and was point guard on my team. I'd sit there dribbling RH, which everybody does, and everybody guarding you expects to drive to your right, their left. I got a few easy layups by driving left, until they caught on. :-)

Nice! When I played baseball, they would make me switch hit lefty depending on the pitcher, as I can hit both ways, but right handed feels more natural to me. I also golf righty and use the computer mouse right handed.

For you lefties using right-handed scissors---

They make left-handed scissors. The blades are flipped so that when you cut with then, the blades cut toward each other, just like right-handed scissors do when used by a righty. Much nicer cuts. :D

Lefties use the right side of their brain, so I guess righties use the wrong one. I shoot pool, use utensils, write left handed. I throw, bat shoot righty. Money kept LFP. Knife-RFP. Wallet-RRP. I guess I'll ask the tough question. What hand do you wipe your arse with? Just another confused lefty here.

Yes, I had them as a kid, but they feel awkward now(adult sized ones, just to clarify)

Lol, I wanted to ask that but didn't, lol. Right hand.

Dang lefties are to blame for the scales of the Spyderco PM2 being riddled like a swiss cheese with tiny holes.

There is only supposed to be one visible hole in a Spydie and thats in the blade!

IM KIDDING!
