Are all ZTNO´s asymetrical cutters?

I am a newbie to the Busse line, but I thought that all of the Zero Tolerance knives had a zero grind, thus the name?

Following is a direct quote from the "Zero Tolerance Series" letter(given to me by DN) which was included with the ZT's shipped from Busse:

"Our Limited Run knives, such as the Zero Tolerance series, incorporate all of the tricked out performance features of our much more expensive Limited Edition knives while at the same time focus less on the cosmetics or final finish. Some of these performance features, such as zero edge geometry and satin finish, allow for much less frictional resistance while cutting or chopping."

to my knowledge (off hand without looking), all the active duties are zero edge as well, but mine is ground to the left. not even close to being the same as the true assymetrical grind like on the bm, where the left side was about 1mm wide, and the right was 4mm wide, but the edge is noticably centered to the left....

Hmmmmm..... Guess this makes my 3/16 Desert NO an even stranger pup. It has the asymetrical edge on it. I thought this one was a Desert ZTNO but guess not!!

From what Jerry has told me the zero edge can only be used on uncoated blades. The zero edge actually has the edge blended into the primary grind, hence no shoulder on the edge. This cannot be done with a coated or Double cut blade as you can't "blend" the edge without destroying the coating.

From what I understand the zero edge is only offered on satin finished Busses

:D:D
