I want to use 2 of my big 20mm ammo cans as quench tanks; one for Park's 50 and one for Park's AAA. Good idea or not?

It might be a really good idea to seal all the seams with silicone-before you fill them with oil.

yup, they are supposed to be water tight, whether they still are is another story. I'd fill with water and put them on a smooth dry surface that will show if they leak at all, just to be sure.

They're supposed to be but....they're DXed for a reason.

As said, it would be a good idea to water test them...right

side up for a while, then up side down to test the seal.

I have a couple with various oils in them that haven't

leaked, nor have the seals degraded.
