This seems to be a HIGHLY sought after and popular blade. Whether within the LBS or some other series...are there any plans to get this knife in production again??

Thanks

I wish!!!

Yeah you and countless others.

I've seen Jerry start threads on knives to see people's reactions and inevitably they bite like a school of Piranha.

But I've been skimming through TONS of threads and one blade (along with two or three others) that is continually desired is some version of the SFNO. Yet I've seen ZERO credible talk about any in the works. That's why I figured I'd ask.

There was a lot of chatter back before the NMSFNO coming out, where alot of folks wanted the SFNO to be a standard production blade just as the AD. But then came the NMSFNO and a lot of that chatter went away. Persoanlly I think the SFNO is about the best and certainly one of the top general purpose knives ever made. Blade Length, weight, thickness, hilt design simply one of the best!!! I don't care if it's SABRE, Flat whatever, great knife...

You lost me...AD?

So what you're saying is that the SFNO was highly demanded but not a big seller? Or the NM model was not a big seller/highly demanded?

Thanks

No, the SFNO is HIGHLY desired and sought after, then the NMSFNO came out and it to was desired and still sought after. I don't know which one would be the most sought after of the two, I guess sticking my neck out I would say the NMSFNO. The reasons are w/ the NMSFNO you get a longer blade therefore more of a chopper if needed. You also went from .220" thick on the SFNO to .250" on the NMSFNO. Hilt is the same just rounded edges, which actually make it a little more comfortable especially if you have ever raked the palm of your hand across the pommel end.

The AD is the acronym for ACTIVE DUTY!!!

Oh ok. I see what you're saying. So even though it is a highly desired design, which I've seen mentioned in dozens of threads in the past month alone...no plan for it in the works right now?...or maybe none we know of...

I'd buy a SFNO in a heartbeat. No questions asked. I would be the first in line to get one. It would replace my ESEE 6 for camp/survival duty. I do not need the longer/thicker blade of the NMSFNO. I have blades that cover this aspect already.

Sing me up for a SFNO!

Yep, pretty much it!!! Nothing in the works but of coarse the Boss is the one who knows. We, IMHO are due another mid size at the least. We have had quit a few little ones for a while so need to move back up the line. I personally still wish Jerry would move the ASHWACKER up and get them out. At a blade of .220" Speer Point, and a VERY comfortable hilt it just sure seem to be a winner. Also the short one he had out in proto was with a 6.5" bade like an ASH, then there was the 7.5" & 8.5" like the SH's and finally the 9.5" like the BM's. I would have jumped on Satin w/Black and Orange G-10 like a duck on a junebug:D
***Jerry you listening???

Ok that makes three of us that want a SFNO and that only took a few minutes.... I wonder how many others like us are out there...just lurking... praying nightly that some day they'll get a chance to buy one directly from Busse....?

It seems all I do around here is tout on about my NMSFNO. I love the thing. Bought it for use as a camp knife to replace the cheap ass camp axe I was using before. One hell of a trade up, that's for sure. I gained the versatility of a knife while, at the same time, gained overall strength of the cutting tool. It's also been used for a considerable amount of yard work and always seems to find its way onto my belt. I see no reason not to get one, provided you can find the one you want.
