are assisted openers illegal in virginia

i read through some of the sections pertaining to va law.

it appears that most weapons are prohibited if carried concealed, though i dont see a definition for a dirk or switchblade.

it is generally thought that ao's are not switchblades. in this sense, it appears they are not only legal, but may be carried legally concealed.

I've read the Texas laws, and that ruling doesn't follow the law at all; therefore, it is invalid. Two wrongs don't make a right.

joe -bob the ruling of a court holds until overturned, and I believe this was a second level court ( possible Appellate) that made this ruling so therefore a court of equal or higher level would have to rule differently to have any impact that could alter this ruling. Two wrongs don't make a right works in grammer school teaching but not the court room....Spend you next week day off in a local court as a spectator, based on your post will be shocked by what really happens .....

they cvan be legal, but some polioce will consider them as switchblades, by definition they are.
it doesnt mean that will stand in court, you will just have an ass-load of paperwork to fill out and have to go to court and what not
