Are becker field bags still available??

I love mine. It goes with me everywhere with all my "essentials." Nothing like a good man purse. Well, if you have matching flats and heels, that is.
 
Love mine too! It's absolutely amazing! It's my "Get home" bag and my "oh crap! Gotta go to work at 2am" bag. It has everything I need to survive at work that late.
 
Yeah, I finally have been broken. I am willing to pony up the cash. I think I have been through every kind of bag known to man. Time to get the best! Anyone got one they want to sell. ????? :)

LOL! Seriously though, they are beautifully made with only the best US materials. They are great bags.
 
it's funny, but this bag stands up to the scrutiny of the harshest man bag user in Boston Metro

even the ladies like them. a lot.

ask a lady what her fancy designer leather purse cost.

you could buy 3 Becker bags for that ;)

Ordered one last week, now the wait! I take it communications is not good for here small shop? I haven't received a confirmation or anything since the purchase.

I'd give her a call. Karen is a great person. We drove to her shop (on our way to Chattanooga) to pick it up. It was wonderful meeting her.
 
I recently took mine on a trip to a foreign country. Worked great, and I'd say it was easier to carry than my backpack, although maybe that's because the backpack holds more. Which is a plus! Only carry what you really need!

If I didn't have the metal water bottle in it, I don't think I would have noticed I was carrying it at all.

My Becker Field Bag arrived from the Dusting off the skills challenge and here are some pictures for you to enjoy. I have not had a chance to use this bag yet but here are my first impressions.


From what I can tell this bag is really well made. Every seam is sewn well with no bad stitches. The bag uses YKK zippers and paracord zipper pulls. The only thing weird is that there is no logo or tag anywhere to be found. Maybe when the bag is available for sale there will be something to identify this as a Becker design.


Here are some pictures. If you guys have any requests for specific pictures just ask.


The bag open with a Beckerhead bottle and a field guide for a size comparison. Yes the bottle fits fine in the bottle pouch.

The back of the main compartment has different sized pockets for organization.





A small pouch on the opposite side of the water bottle pouch.





The back of the bag has a hidden Velcro pouch just below the loop handle. a small zippered pocket and some webbing loops.

I also got a BK 16 from the contest from Ethan. I can't wait to use it in the woods.

Oh cool. Do you know if they make Becker thermos's that are available bought from a webstore? Or were these just a batch made for Beckerhead's?
 
These are water bottles. Amanda and I are fortunate enough to have one each. I know it was a small run and Moose was selling them for a while.

I doubt there are any left.

the water bottle pocket will hold anything Nalgene bottle sized (the classic 1 liters), though it will also hold a 38 oz stainless jobbie if you were lucky enough to get a Guyot designed one (they still come up now and then on the Nalgene site)

love my bags (yeah, i have a couple)
