Are benchmade prototypes rare?

Hey to all on here a couple of years back I found some benchmades on a uk website a few rants and low priced griptillians .I bought two of the grants I think they are both prototypes are the rare or unusual to come by? Just curious thanks ironkid

I'd love to know as well. I recently picked up a prototype 710. It's a fantastic knife.

I spike via e mail with benchmade a yr or so ago and the couldn't fathom how I ended up with said prototypes .they said they were usually sold to employees or sold through the factory shop if I remember correctly .
The lack of answers is encouraging lol.
That is a great looking blade .
Mine are two prototype rants .
Actually one is a proto and one a first run I believe I'll post a pic tomorrow they wouldn't be worth much anyways cos they're rants .
But I bought mine in England which was apparently unusual .
As they dont distribute them I think.
