Are Benchmade wood handles strong?

I just got a 722-02, which is the Aries with the all Winewood handles. I can tell that the wood seems tough, and it feels great in the hand, but I can't find any information on wether or not the wood is stabalized, or just kept natural. Also how resistant is the wood to damage? I am not planning on dropping the knife out of a window or anything, and I know it isn't G-10, but I just want to make sure I take care of it properly. Thank you in advance for your responses.

I have the same knife, works great. My understanding is that all wood handles from Benchmade are Stabilized.

the 690, 705-400, 440 all use stabilized wood.

I have the 733-01, which is the same as your Ares, but with carbon fiber bolsters. I've dropped it. It took less damage than I expected - just a small, smooth dent in the wood where it met the harsh, unforgiving pavement. Pretty good for a wood handle, I think.

Well that is good news indeed. I know this is a Limited Edition knife, but I just can't help but use it. I am glad BM did the wood right. Thanks guys. :D
