Are Busse knives addictive?

I really think they are. Proof will be evident as soon as I figure out how to work my new digital camera. Somehow, in the last few weeks, I have felt the need to acquire:

Old style straight handled Battle Mistress with the clip blade and slotted screw handle fasteners. I love this knife. If I had to go out in the woods with just one knife, this would be it.

Combat grade Mr. Mojo. What can I say about this knife that hasnt already been said? The knife just reeks coolness!

Custom Busse Flying Tiger with plain edge. This is one of the sweetest Busses yet! Probably the best handle on any of the Busse knives, as far as comfort.

(2) Satin Jacks; one with standard CG configuration and one with snakeskin nucarta handles. I still think this is the best designed knife in the Busse line as far as practicality. Especially since they changed to the thinner steel stock.

The point of this post is to point out that, even with these newly acquired beauties, the hole has not been filled! I am still looking for more! :D

Whoa!!! Sounds like you've been busy :D:D

Congrats on all the great knives. :D

Yep, sounds about right ;):D

Danbo, the bad news is YES, they are addictive. The GOOD NEWS is that they are the only addiction that I know of that you can use and enjoy and - have them worth more down the road than what they are worth today !

What else can you say that about? Certainly not cars, boats or (especially) stocks !!

So, the next time your wife/girlfriend says that you are spending too much on Busses, tell them that you are planning for your retirement !

Addictive? IF lying to spouses, selling stuff secretively, and doing without lunch so you have cash for INFI is an addiction, then yes, yes, I admit,

I'M AN INFI-HOLIC!!!!!

but I'm getting better....

treeclimber,
Welcome to the Busse forum!! If you need a SH BM real
bad, Bladeart has one or two.:D

Got that camera figgered out yet?

I'd like to see the BM... (and no comments Eric...:D )

For me the SH-E has
a certain addictive quality. The grip and balance make me want to carry this thing around all the time. Many places regard this as
a somewhat antisocial act. YMMV.

It has been my observation over the past couple of years that these knives are, indeed, addicting in the truest sense of the word---that becomes doubly true if you cut yourself with one---then you become INFIected....................

I don't feel they are addictive, but if you give them half a chance they multiply faster than bunny rabbits:D

Are Busse knives addictive?

No, don't worry about it. Here, the first times on me.

You bet your kydex lined cordura they are addicting. If you have a Busse knife, especially somehting along the lines of a NO/E or SH/E you really do not need another fixed blade. But what do we do. We get something like a SH/E then and BAg3. We're covered. Then we split the gap with a NO/E then maybe a SJ. Then we get into users and keepers, then variants, then customs and on and on it goes. It is a slippery slope! :D

No, not addictive at all. They are, however, very dangerous...the components of INFI steel have recently been tested and found to be highly toxic. You should send them all to me for prompt, and environmentally safe disposal.
