I've always wanted a Busse, would I get a lower price direct at the Blade show? What are the best deals? Thanks...Just wondering if I should make the pilgramage.

More affordable than buying through Busse any other time? Nah, they are the same... You might save on shipping, but there IS a 6%(?) convention tax on items at BLADE, IIRC...

Yes and no. More affordable than the exchange or the auction sites yes. More affordable than a ganza or official site or a company store offering probably not by much. Also, keep in mind the style you're gunning for. A silent knight is still going to be the price of a silent knight even at Blade. It's just a better opportunity to get combat finish and customs not currently offered directly from the site or the CS at what Busse would probably sell them for had they been offered. You may find some oldies, some modded oldies, or some new stuff. However, considering the product it is still a hack of a deal.

Edit
Jaxx has it.

Blade is great fun!

Think of the Atlanta Blade show as an "in-person Ganza" where you know if you got the congratulatory email right away. :) There will probably be a lot of customs and a few assorted combat grade offerings along with Special Edition knives. Last year the production type blades (off the top of my head) were:
Hellrazor CF
JackHammer CF
Sarsquatch CF
SatinJack SE
ASH1 SE
SFNO SE
FSH SE
FBM SE

...& the Nuclear EDC, those cool little blades with the AD handle. :)

The Pilgramage? Smyrna Georgia is a like 3 miles away from where its held. Dont go out of your way or anything. :p

ha +1.

I'm trucking down from PA for this Busse orgy.

Where is everyone staying for Blade? The Waverly, or the block of rooms that Busse has reserved like a mile away? I'm a noob to Blade, any advice?

If you can afford the few bucks more, the Waverly is the best deal because that is where everything is going on and all you have to do is stagger to your room each night!

Holy crap you read my mind.

I have a reservation for Friday and Saturday night at the Waverly. I am going to keep it. I just thought maybe there was more 'underground' happenings at the Busse rooms...

AFAIK all the action takes place by the fountain in front of the Waverly

The best deals right now are in the exchange(I have no knives there)IMHO. Alot of the newer Busse's are listed at or under cost.

But Busse always has some special edition stuff that is very nice, not to mention many Custom Shop knives. Its also a great time around the Busse booth:thumbup:
They did have some special offers and prices last year on some of the SE's. I look foward to what Jerry will bring this year...you never know what it will be, but as always he won't disapoint.

Go to Blade for sure!!! Your right down the road and if you love knives its a must see/do.

Scrap Yard knifes were a few bucks cheaper at the show then they were on there website last year. Not much $10 or $20 bucks can't remember for sure.
As for the hotel yeah it would be nice to stay at the Waverly but it is twice the price as the other place and that is a couple hundred bucks that on my limited budget I don't get to spend on knifes so I chose the Busse block rooms.

The main thing about going to Blade is that you can score Infi straight out of the mitts of the Boss Hog himself. And there's usually stuff there that you can get before anyone else.
If you have the means, you gotta go to Blade. And not just for the Busse booth- pretty much every knife person you've ever even heard of will be there. If you have the hankering for ANYTHING knife related- Blade is where you can find it.

Another good thing about scoring Infi at Blade is that you can usually find a nice sheath right there at the show- no waiting! And you can handle stuff before you buy it.

Yep the Busse rooms offer me more money to spend on knives...ugh, decisions, decisions.
