Are Camillus Beckers more valuable?

I took a chance on a local forum and agreed to buy four Beckers- bk 2, bk7, bk 11 and bk 13 in a bulk purchase. When they arrived yesterday I realized that the bk2 and bk7 are both Camillus era blades. Can someone help me understand if these have a higher resale or collectible value?
They have both been stripped and have a nice vinegar patina. I am not sure of the history of these specific knives but they appear to be older than my 5 yr old bk2 and new laser etched bk7 can anyone give input, I can post pics this evening.

I was saying in the way that all beckers are priceless. They can be handed down from generation to generation and will still cut, carve, whittle, chop, and shave!

Maybe a little more than a Ka-bar but not anything to write home about, especially if they're been stripped and patina'd. I would just use them. Actually the mods probably add back on whatever value was taken away by altering them.

I had someone with a camillus BK10 email me a while back asking if I wanted to buy it from him. I told him right off the bat that I have no interest in collecting and that if I bought the knife it would be as a user and that would be reflected in what I'd be willing to pay and that he could get more for it by listing and selling to someone who would be interested in the history and collect-ability (what little there is) of it, I didn't even make an offer in my first email. He emailed me back and said he understood and asked if I still wanted to make an offer. So I offered him $50 since it's a used knife and the Ka-Bars were about to come out and I knew they'd be ~$70, and I explained this too him. Despite my best efforts he must have been insulted because he didn't even bother replying. Oh well, got me a new one and all is right with the world.

In terms of monetarily, no. None of the standard models at least. The rare specimens are worth a little more, but there is nothing out there you are going to make a fortune off of. For the models you listed, there isn't anything there that would be worth any extra money to a user or most collectors. The BK2 might be worth more to someone that wants a thinner version of the BK2, but that is really a matter of personal preference.

Now, if you're talking about Camillus 1960's era folding GI knives, they can be worth some money, depending on condition.

I have a Camillus '2, and I've used it more than my KB 9. The steel underneath the (very easy to strip) coating is RAW - lots of pits and grind marks, but that just makes it easier to abuse. I don't know for sure, but the steel seems a little softer than my 9 - easier to sharpen but needing it more often. Bottom line - collect something else and use those Beckers like they should be used. "What's the point of owning a Ferrari if you never take it out of the garage?" (pretty sure I read that somewhere but don't remember who said it). My two cents.

They have no warranty at all, unless you happen to be using it at one of ethan's events and it snaps during a chopping contest. In that case Ethan replaced it with his own personal BK9 he brought with him. I suspect that was a one time thing though, or very rare at the least. I like the camillus ones but the KaBar versions are at least just as good. Excepting of course a couple versions KaBar doesn't make yet.

I think they bring a bit of a premium. At least that is what I have noticed on the bay and here.

Camillus Beckers are worth more as they are no longer made and becoming rarer NIB. Few were even probably even made overall vs. Ka-Bar? Ka-Bar Beckers will make tons more. There are rare versions like the Camillus Becker BK7SG (Serrated Government Version) and the Camillus BK77 with SPEC-OPS Sheath included. The only large Becker ever shipped with a nice sheath. The Camillus green micarta handles that came on the Camillus BK77 are the best that I have seen...period.

I wouldn't necessarily say that is a fair assessment about the sheaths AW. Have you seen the new MOLLE compatible ones? They have really stepped up the game on sheaths.

I do own 7 of the Camillus Beckers and 7 of the Ka-Bar Beckers. I do NOT own any of the "newest" Ka-Bar sheaths. You might be right, but I need to see one first.:D
