Hey, just a question regarding insoles... are custom one better than normal ones? Seen on couple sites saying that they are and on other big sites and newspapers that they dont really do anything extra.. what are your thoughts?
Custom fit is just that, fit to you. If you fit off the shelf insoles then your lucky, but if you have specific orthopedic issues with your feet then best to go custom.
Best case scenario is to read reviews online for brands like Superfeet and the like. I tried a set of Superfeet brand, they are sold in various stiffness levels. What they are designed to do is correct the way your foot hits the ground when you walk or run, some folks underpronate and other overpronate. From my limited understanding on the topic, these issues can create excessive wear and tear from the ankles all the way up to your neck. It states on the packaging or did years back that you need to wear them for a few hours then remove them, so alternating the use seems to help with getting acustomed.
