are FFBMs the only ones that are/were .32?

after getting rid of my trusted .32 ASH I find that I'm missing the heft and holy-crap factor of a .32 knife/chopper, so I think I want a BM of some sort that's that thick.

are the FFBMs my only real option, or were there others from shows and such that are that thick? (it is the FFBMs that're .32, right?)

(feel free to show off pics of examples if you have them).

thanks.

Here are some from Jerry's ornigal post

MOAB .402" Thick

Sledge Hammer .320" Thick

Been my experience with the FFBM's that most hoover around .308-.314". I have had my hands on about 8 of them and none were wider than .314" w/most less. But hey you only talking a few thou, not that much to worry about.

There are the FFBM, LE's and the Prototypes in both the bullet nose and bowie. And that's an estimated thickness.

Oh, right, not exactly .32 but north of .30 and it varies. that's close enough.

and I was thinking the FBM LEs were .270. that's good to know.

Thanks.

+1
The FFBM I have is .312" and my FBMLE is .325", but the FFBM weighs more:cool:.

My FFBM weighs 33.1 ounces, the same as the KZII.

Don't forget the Battle Pappy! ;) It's like a Hedgewacker (fatty Bushwacker?) with an excellent cold weather handle and a guard and a convex edge and a full flat grind like the FBM LE. Maybe in the Ganzaaa?

Yup, the FBMLE's are .32 or so.

Completely different feel than the FFBM's though. The full flat grind takes some weight off over what the Saber ground FFBM's are.

an FBM LE sounds like the one then... .32-ish and already Satin.

Thanks.

I sure miss mine!I should have kept it! It had hand shaped mags, non sharpened top clip, and I spent some loving time on convexing the edge!

Pappy with Le Mistress (FBM LE third from top) and some friends. He's also the lightest of the bunch even at .32, but the LE has 10 oz on him.

The Zillas are around .30 or so, almost as thick as the .32.

Where can I find a BATTLE PUPPY???

Call the shop to see if you can still order a Battle Pappy. 1-419-923-6471
They are a custom shop knife, instead of regular production so they are not very common to find on the aftermarket.
