Are GEC shields pinned?

All shields are pinned. On all GEC/Tidioute/Northfield models.

To add, I know at least for genuine stag, the shield is left off but comes in the tube with the knife.

Thanks. I lost a shield on a Boker the other day--it really bothered me.

I lost a Boker shield recently and purchased a replacement for $2 from a local knife shop.

Sad that boker shield fell off, lucky that one could be found locally!!! Nice to know GEC are pinned,.

Mine fell off when I set the knife down in a drawer. I epoxied it back in. I'd like to avoid that experience in the future; so, I'll try a GEC.
