Hey guys, I read that Frost Cutlery bought Hen & Rooster out. A local hardware store has some Hen & Rooster knives in stock. I own an older Hen & Rooster knife but I lost interest in the newer ones when I heard they are made by Frost. I was at the hardware store today and asked to look at the Hen & Rooster knives, the guy helping me said they have had them in stock for a while. I looked on the back of the tang of the large blade and it said Bertram Cutlery, actually all three blades said Solingen Germany. All of the knives I looked at said the same thing and they were priced at $50 or higher. Would these knives be worth buying? Are they actual German made knives?

Do the tang stamps look like this:

If so, they are German made. This one was made back when A.G. Russell owned them. They are great knives in my opinion.

It looked similar. All three blades have the Hen & Rooster on them with Solingen Germany under the Hen & Rooster. On the back of the large blade, it says Bertram cutlery with the knife number.
