Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a delica knife blade, (only the blade), to replace an old beat up blade? If so where? how?

Thanks guys

No Spyderco does not sell blades.

Spyderco themselves unfortunately do not. You may be able to get one off of ebay, but I doubt it.

You would almost certainly want a new lockbar that was properly fitted to the new blade as well, for safety reasons.

Economically there isn't much to a Delica except the blade. I doubt the FRN handle registers as much money in terms of manufacturing costs.

I've always seen people here talking about replacing both the blade and the matching (fitted) lockbar. So I think you'd need to obtain a matched set from Spyderco, not just the blade. At that point you might as well buy (or sell) a new Delica.

That's my 2cents worth of analysis. ;)

Hi guys,
Basically what I have seen is that clips and clip-screws are sold, and now (and I don't know since when) the internal parts are being sold (you can check here, so I thought perhaps there might be every part available. I must agree the locking bar would probably have to be changed too but anyway I thought it was worth a shot.

Thanks

Perhaps if your Delica blade is beat up, you could have it reground by Tom Krein to give it a second chance on life? There is another thread about regrinds called something like, "oh no, you didn't. Oh yes I did" where you can see what I'm talking about.

+1

This would also be cheaper than buying a new knife.

Doesn't hurt to ask, but the answer has always been no, and I expect that it still is. The D4/E4 handle rebuild kits were a response to folks taking those knives apart and damaging them when they attempted to put them back together.
