Are KA-BAR EK model 5 handles compatible with Richmond EK model 5 knives?

I have a Richmond, VA made EK model 5 that I bought originally with the cord wrapped handle. I removed the cord some years after I had it to discover it’s drilled for handle scales. I’m wondering if when Kabar reproduced the EK model 5 if they fillowed the same handle dimensions and bolt spacing as the Richmond models?
I’m eyeing a set of Carrol Micarta scales but am trying to determine if they would be compatible with my knife. Thanks!
