Maybe I am looking in the wrong place but are Mnandis difficult to find? It seems the S35v blade versus the Damascus steel are difficult to find in the various handle materials.

Does CRK do them in batches? The other CRK products seem more plentiful than the Mnandi.
Has it been discontinued?

I don't believe CRK makes knives in batches in the traditional sense(Lg.Sebenzas for 3 months then move on). They seem to make the parts in large batches and are continually assembling different model knives to fill orders(which have a backlog).
I don't know if they make any knives other than for shows on spec. Every knife may have an order behind it somewhere-not sure

Your research is correct- there are far more Damascus Mnandi listed on authorized dealers compared to the few S35VN models. For whatever reason the change to predominantly Damascus started in 2017 and throughout 2018. It may be CRK noted sales of the Damascus did better than plain S35VN and shifted to producing a larger percentage of them.

CRK has a listing of authorized dealers on their web site and that may be the best way to go about a search.

I am looking for a non-Damascus blade I have never edc a Damascus blade and I am not sure that I want to. I think I have found what I want. I need to goth through the official CRK knives dealer list to see if they have it. If I need to wait for it to be back in stock again, then I will just keep an eye out.

If you don't absolutely need it new from the dealer, keep an eye on the exchange. Good deals are possible as well as new or like new condition.
Good luck on your search

You’re on the right track here ^^. There are authorized dealers that I check regularly for Mnandi’s, but I’ve also pulled up the dealers list on the CRK website and gone through them one by one. You’re right -the Damascus blades are plentiful right now. Just have to search a little harder for the plain blades.
Another thing I do.....most of the bigger retailers have an email notification system so that you can be notified when a certain model is back in stock. Good luck with your search!

Thank you everyone, I guess Mnandis are that difficult to find, at least what I am looking for is.

Why not EDC a Damascus blade? They hold up well to everything short of abuse. I've been EDCing a Mnandi or a Sebbie in Damascus for the last several years. About the only thing you'll encounter is some "fading" of the pattern as use wears the dark oxides off the blade.

I am not overly fond of the damascus look. It is kind of like a Pontiac Aztec, intriguing to look at but no one really ever bought one.

I just sent you two links to a reputable dealer (but not approved by BF) that has two different inlays in S35VN in stock

I just figure that the plain blades sell out faster because they are more affordable. This is the reason both of my mnandis are plain blades.
