i have an old set from the mid 90's that pinches if you slip while using the pliers on a bolt, nut or anything similar. its about time to trade them in and i was wondering if the new ones were pinchproof and worth having before i send the old ones in. thanks.

yes, all of the new gerber mulitpliers are designed to not pinch the hand like the old ones. i had a set of the old style and man what a blood blister i got from it one day when it slipped off a bolt and bite me! i have a set of multiplier 600 and a legend 800 now. both are quite comfortable to use. (no pinching) i hope this helps,,VWB.

i'm planning on sending them to oregon to the factory, unless they are closed down or moved overseas. thats where i ordered my replacement jaws, knife, screwdriver, file. i think they discontinued my model so its time to trade them in.
