Are Powerlock pliers magnetized from the factory?

This is a duplicate of the question I posed in the multi-tool forum. I decided to come to the horse's mouth, and see if anybody here definitively knows.

I noticed that the pliers on my sog Powerlock are slightly magnetized. I have a feeling that they came from the factory that way, but I can't help but wonder if it is somehow by my hand that they were magnetized.

Anybody else notice this?

(the green tint is from the magetic charge, it will also pick up staples, brads, etc...)
 
Hmm... We do not intentionally magnetize them. I am not a master of manufacturing or magnetism but it could be that they are picking a slight charge in the manufacturing process. I know that we use magnets the help separate the tools from the polishing media. Maybe that is what is happening.
 
Cool. Actually, it is a sort of neat feature that helps keep track of hardware (putting it against the old monitor was for illustration).Thanks!
