Are SOG's practical or fashion?

First off I mean no offence by my question, I realy love my SOG goverment, and have great respect for the quality of workmanship in every SOG product.

But I have to ask. I see a lot of people on this forum showing off pics and saying how great their knives look and so on. But do any of your knives see real use, if so what sort? and how about some pics of SOG's that have seen use.

The reason I ask is because a lot of SOG knives that I see as being real use knives are designed with recurve blades or part serrated, with no option of plain straight edge (field knife, field pup, seal pup, seal knife, NW ranger etc.) I am sure many experienced knife users would choose a plain straight edge any day.

Please do not take offence at my questions, I just had to ask

I think of Sogs as both fashionable and practical.

I am a knife knut I admit it and carry far more knives than I really need to. In my Outdoors kit I have a pair of Striders and a pair of Emersons. I do not think these are as pretty as the 3 Sogs that I also carry.
I overdo things I admit it, I am just saying that my Sogs are real perdy looking and can mix it up with my other badboy practical knives, while looking sexier and costing less.

I do a lot of camping a fair way from other people (anti-social you see ) and I put a lot of faith in knives, faith that Sog has never betrayed.

BTW I also tend to carry 3 Sogs in my EDC. Alternating between a Sog Pentagon or Mini-Pentagon as my boot knife, a Sog Vision or an Autoclip and my favourite Sog defensive folder (my other favourites are a SWAT 5 inch bali or a waved Emerson) the ubiquitous Sog Pentagon Elite II.

The Pentagon series is 5 Star and the option of a serrated edge and a plain edge is really great. I keep a razor edge on the plain side and it lasts for ages, because most of the fibrous material will be cut by the serrations.
