Are Swamp Rat Knives Hard to Get?

Hey all,

Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I have checked out their page and they have some awesome knives. I know they are very popular too.

Aren't they "related" to Busse knives? I know Busse knives are just about impossible to get and I thought they came out with the Swamp Rat line so that customers would be able to get their hands on them easier and cheaper than the Busse knives.

Anyway, can you just call up and get a Battle Rat if you want one?

Generally, no. They do take some time to get unless you make a score at the company store. That, too, is hard to do.

Tough knives though.
 
the battle rat has been discontinued actually. The only knives from swamp rat you can get off their site at the moment is the howling rat, Ratweiler, and the rat trap. If you want a battle rat you can try the "want to buy" section in the exchange area here on BF. Swamp rat is supposed to come out with a new line, supposedly this month, and the new battle rat will be coming out so you might want to wait for that one, if not, the secondary market is where youd have to look for one.
 
Once the new swamp rat line up comes around it shouldnt be hard to get a knife from them. Youll just have to go to the order page. They generally take a while to finally arrive at your door, but its sooo worth it.
