Are the blades interchangeable?

Are the blades for the powerlock and the pocket powerpliers interchangeable? Also, I noticed that the scissors and the 1/4 inch driver seem to take up "2 spots" on the tool. Is this correct? If so, the deluxe pocket powerplier must be quit a bit thicker than the pocket powerplier. True? So many questions! :)

Thanks for your post. Let me see if I can answer what questions I see you expressing:
  • The blades are interchangeable only if in the transfer from a Pocket PowerPlier (P3) that those blades/tools are "locking" blades. An inspection of cutout notches in the blade/tool tang will confirm this.
  • In any transfer of blades/tools, it is important to know that there is an important configuration of blade/tools required to assure proper use of the multitool.
  • Yes, the scissors and 1/4" drive are two spot blade/tools.
  • A basic P3 comes with six single width blade/tools (out of a possibility of eight single width spaces). A Deluxe version offers a different configuration filling up more of those spots.

I have both the PowerLock, and the Deluxe Pocket PowerPlier (DPPP), and I have installed the same scissors (I think) that are in the PowerLock into my "DPPP". It works fine, but I DID have to "lose" the file AND the can-opener to make room for the scissors. Maybe a better alternative would be to buy a SOG CrossCut (It's an EXCELLENT "scissor multi-tool"!), and leave the PPP as it is. (In-fact, I'm thinking about returning MY Deluxe Pocket PowerPlier back to the "stock" configuration, and carrying it AND my CrossCut again, as I miss not having the file and can-opener.).

Hey Ron...How about that Deluxe Pocket PowerLOCK???...I'm tellin' ya...That one would sell like HOTCAKES!!.:).
