Are the deep carry clips from knifekits.com universal?

I was told they will not fit on the Starmate, but I don't know about the regular 3 screw clips.
I was wondering if they will fit on the new "Heat".

No, they're not universal. When DDR ran out of the old EDI ti clips, he started using the clip with the round ring that goes around the pivot. These have three screw holes in the ring. They are on DDR's customs, the CUDA Maxx, and appear (from pictures) to be on the Heat. The new foldover clip was designed to replace this ring-style clip.

What I've got handy is a couple of the new foldovers, a 710, an Ascent, and a Mini-Spike. All three knives have the same clip (the "large" generic 3 screw). The fold over isn't going to work. The holes are too far apart, about 1/16" too wide.

It looks like the foldover would work on the Heat, but then you might get into issues of the flipper being inside your pocket and getting deployed accidentally. AFAIK, there was only one size of that ring-style clip.
 
yep, that sounds right, wirebender, certainly would fit no BM's i have ever see, nor spydies.
 
That sux. I really like the clip. Thanks for the info, that saves me from buying some.
