This question has come up before with no definitive answer given. How about it Benchmade, are the scales glued on as well, and if so, what pound test glue was used?

Have you tried emailing or calling them? They typically respond quicker to emails or phone calls than a thread on Bladeforums. Just a thought.

Yep.

The quickest way to get an answer is to call BM Customer Service : 800-800-7427

Looks to me like press fit tubes holding it together, I guess your asking if they are glued as well?

Thank you. I did a search back then only to come up with nothing about this. I suppose that's strong enough, but when reading about knives like those made by L.T. Wright, and others, they mention using an industrial grade 2000 lb epoxy in conjunction with pins. This made me curious as to if Benchmade used it for their fixed blade scales.
Just curious to know how my knife is built. :)
