are the karambits still shipping?

i know i got in late on the order, so i should be near the end of the list, but i wanted to double check that they are still being shipped out and orders being filled.

But to answer your question, they are still being shipped out. I know of one order that should be arriving soon :)
 
For those in this thread who are expecting a War Boar, but don't yet have it, all I can say is you are going to love it...really love it. I have shown mine to a few folks and every last one of them is amazed by it. Most have never seen anything like it and it makes them want to go the other way. Too funny!
 
There is another batch in the works as we speak. Garth said mine should have been coated yesterday so do not lose hope. :)
 
What are you all going to carry your War Boar in?

I'm still looking for the perfect sheath in leather.

Thats a GREAT question! I have been thinking the same thing, I would like to have a leather sheath for this bad boy. It would have to be something that would allow the knife to slide out the front of the sheath, don't you think? Mine is just like this one except I have the larger finger hole.

While a leather sheath would be nice, I was thinking kydex. My thought is that if I wasn't careful pulling the knife out of a leather sheath, it would not be hard to cut it up given the shape of the karambit.

yeah, i think that a clam type of kydex sheath ala stealth hawk's sheath may be the way to go. my fear with leather is that the curve with time would slice the inside of the leather and force the seam open.

I whipped up a photoshop approximation..it will be quite a challenge as the War Boar has quite a radical angle...the sheath may need have a large footprint and the angle will have to be adjusted so the handle does not stab you in the side...

I am new to the Busse forum, and I have a question. Will all of the "War Boar" karambits be spoken for or will some be up for sale? Looking into buying my first Busse.
 
The War Boars are no longer available for sale from Busse and, as you can see, not everyone who ordered one from Busse even has theirs yet. However, every now and then, you will see one come up in the "for sale" forum. You may have to pay a little more than if it was new from Busse, but VERY worth it in my opinion.

Your other option for a War Boar is to post in the Wanted to Buy sub-forum. Someone may chime in with one that they have been on the fence about getting rid of. Too, you can always check that famous auction site.

One last thing, if you don't mind waiting a little (just like the rest of us), Busse is currently taking orders on Fusion Battle Mistresses, a big blade that you really can't go wrong with. If you choose to NOT go with a Battle Mistress from Busse, it would be in your wallet's best interest to not change your mind a year from now as they will definitely be more costly on the secondary market, if they are even available.

another option is that the karambits should find their way to the company store at some point
 
I ordered mine within the last week or so, and they showed up on my credit card today. It looks like they must be getting pretty close to filling all the orders, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them showing up at the company store pretty soon.
