Are the lags returning?

Sometimes it takes up to about a minute and a half for a message to load. Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing this problem?
 
No, it's not just you. I've been experiencing them, too. Things were really good for a little while, but now the lags are creeping in again. I hope that, after all his hard work, Spark doesn't just decide to blow up the servers.
 
Had several yesterday evening, I gave up after a while.
 
It's the database server getting overwhelmed at this point. We're looking at putting in a second one and db replication. More as I know.

You've done an outstanding job on this so far. I'm sure it's driving you nuts, but thanks for all you're doing
 
~6:00pm Tuesday; more lags and timeouts trying to connect...

6:00pm seems to be a bad time to try to connect... :(

Yes, my bad for not paying attention... :(

And the outage seems to be very short each time...You must be getting familiar with the procedure... :D
 
Should be done now, 2 db servers up and running.
 
I had a brief problem logging in maybe 20 minutes ago (1610 hrs now, ECT).

Something about a "database error."

I just tried again and it was fine.


ADDED on 18 Sept at 2 pm ECT:
BTW, it happened again ... about 3 or 4 times ... yesterday evening. I think it was after 7:30 pm ECT.

Not whining, just trying to help with some data.

I think I saw that too - something about the slave server going away or something.
 
Just an off-the-wall question...Does the choice of sub-forum being bookmarked and clicked have anything to do with the lags, timeouts, etc???

If everyone tried to get into this sub-forum at the same time, instead of the load being distributed over the entire selection of BF sub-forums, could that account for the problems???
 
It shouldn't, but you never know.
