Are the scales correct on this Police 4?

A Police 4 popped up on Kijiji for a decent price. But I'm not sure if it's just the pic or is there something wrong with the scales on this knife?

The last pic doesn't look as bad but the others have that weird wavy look to them. Just thought I would get your guys opinions.

It looks like someone cut grooves in the G-10 for added grip. Not my thing, and apparently it didn't work out for him either, since he is selling it.

I think it’s the quality of the pic that is messing with the peel-ply texture. The profile of it all is chattery. The “grooves” switch directions between clipside pics. It’s probably fine.

Just a quick update...I bought it!!! :D

Good example of how a pic can ruin your sale. But after talking to the guy I decided to take the chance and drive the 2 hour round trip and it paid off. Turned out he's in College and trying to save up and buy a Shaman.

For some reason I thought it was going to feel a lot like my military but just a lock back. But I was wrong! It's a tad longer and a heck of a lot slimmer. It really feels sleek and sophisticated, and fits in my rear pocket very comfortably. It's at least 2x heavier then my Military which I believe is due to the solid steel back spacer, but makes the knife feel solid IMHO. And yes FmF you can close it easily with one hand.

Sorry the other thing I would like is to replace the black pocket clip with a chrome one. Anyone point me in the right direction to get one?

Great looking knife and fantastic pics!
I must say that I REALLY like the swedge.
It looks mint. Congrats!
