Are there alternatives to Bodycote for a DLC equivalent?

I know, as a rule, that individuals have limited after-market options on coating blades. Still, the blade, steel and coating option I want isn't on the market. And the latest word is that Bodycote won't take individual orders for boron carbide or DLC coating (makes sense from a business standpoint). That said, apart from piggybacking on a knifemaker's order, what alternatives are there to coat a 154 CM blade with something like boron carbide or DLC? Two reasons, one to reduce reflection in a self-defense scenario and two, and more importantly, to extend the life of the blade. I don't care about it being scuffed up. I understand that's part of the price of the blade. Even so, boron carbide or DLC or even titanium nitride appear to perform better in that area than BT2. Thoughts?

Can one apply boron carbide, dlc or something short of black spray paint on your individual blade?

there is spray and bake teflon coatings (from Brownell's), but this type of coating is not very durable.
