Are there any Ambidextrous Kershaw folders?

By Ambidextrous, I mean the clip can be flipped to the other side of the knife for left pocket carry.

I'm a Benchmade guy but I got my son a Kershaw Leek for Christmas.

I'm left handed and wondered if there are any Kershaw folders that can be carried in your left pocket?

This is one of main reason I carry Benchmades.

I see that Spyderco's are Ambidextrous too. But don't see any Kershaws.

heres the link to their main site with KAI corp.'s catalogs on Kershaw, Zero Tolerance and Shun kitchen knives. I suggest checking them out a lot of their newer models are coming out for left handers or at least leftie friendly.

Of course if your feeling adventurous you can always try modding a knife you like to left hand carry

They do have right handed locks but the op is looking to carry in his left pocket. I do carry these in my left pocket and am right handed. Not hard to close left handed.

Right...I'm not saying that they aren't tapped for left handed carry. I just want to point out that these are right handed folders.

Why wouldn't the OP consider buying a knife with a left handed lock and left handed carry?

Yes, that would seem to be more desirable for him. I think most of Kershaws knives are liner/frame locks. I don't know if they make a left handed lock version.

there arent too many of those IIRC especially in kershaws current line up, and those that are generally go for a shiny penny. Plus if we southpaws learn to operate right handed locking knives it opens up a lot more variety to us

I think kershaw is missing out on a big market. They have a lot of cool and interesting designs, but unfortunately they do not make any lefty designed knives, or even ambidextrous knives. That is why Spyderco and Benchmade get my business. With roughly 10% of the worlds poplulation being lefties, I think Kershaw could make some decent money starting to make lefty friendly knives.

I broke my left hand years ago and had to do everything right handed for a while. Although I'd been semi-ambidextrous before (as most lefties end up being) I'm fully ambidextrous now. I have a preference for left handed knives, but I can make do with right handed ones.

The left handed Spyderco Military is actually a couple dollars cheaper than the right handed version at some of the popular knife vendors.

I agree. I have yet to purchase a Kershaw outside of their Shun line--where they actually do make left handed knives.
