Are there any Case three-spring Stockmans?

I've been looking all over for a Case three-spring Stockman, and haven't found any. I've seen references here occasionally, but I can't find any images. I have three-spring Stockman patterns of other brands (Buck, Benchmade) but no Case. Shepherd Hills told me Case doesn't make one, and never has; I'm almost certain I saw one at some point in my life.

Please help - am I delusional? If they're out there, can someone post pics? I swear, this is keeping me up at night...:p

I believe the number is 6347. I have one and like it due to the fact that the blades don’t scratch one another when opened such as my 6318. Sorry if the numbers are incorrect.

I like the three spring configuration because the center blade does not have to twist to fit, so the edge is straight. Easier to sharpen and better for some uses. I also find that the three spring makes for a broader handle that fits the hand better in heavy use.

My 70's era 6347's only have 2 springs.

Case changed the design of the 6347 in the early 1990's to go to three springs, and it is still made that way. The older ones all had two springs.

I do not know of any other Cases with thress springs, though for a while they did the little 33 patterns that way.

Chris, unless having three springs is important to your collection, I've got to tell you that the old two spring version of the 47 pattern is a heck of a lot nicer/better imho. (YMMV of course.)

I have a three spring stockman made by case, the number is #6347 it was made a couple of years ago as a Ruger commemorative. Mine hase a Sturm Ruger sheild in what case is calling "honey Bone" and the number on it is 688 of 2000. Its a 3 7/8" serpentine stockman with round bolsters hope this helps.
Ken.

Elliott - actually, it was more of an issue of "I thought I saw..." than anything else. This all stemmed from a conversation with a friend of mine who works at a local hardware store. He does the tool & knife buying, so he's pretty aware of what they've carried. I was thinking Whittler, he was thinking Stockman, so...

knifeaholic - that makes sense. This isn't the first time I've seen Case change a configuration and keep the #'s the same or similar. The one I saw was in the late 90's, at my dad's Lowes store. (Case Special Edition, or something.)

It's another I'll add to the list. I'm gonna wear out my large CV Stockman (6.5375) before I go for another like it. Too darn many patterns to check out. ;)
