Are there any new Buck Strider knives for 2005?

I would appreciate specs, pics, availability dates, or prices.

i think it's safe to say that we are all psyched.

and... i'd be pretty upset if the Buck-striders WEREN'T military oriented...

I am pushing for a 420HC version and also a version with 154cm plain edge and maybe some partially serrated. I would love to do a run in S30V or BG42 as well.

I am doing my best to fight for production time, but the guys are already working overtime getting the factory up and going.

I hope to have samples/ pictures by Blade, but its not up to me.

I'll keep fighting though.

Keep the suggestions coming in, we take them very seriously.

Thanks again!

Really.... did you read my previous post of a lockback 881?

that would be so cool!

I'd like to see 1/4" thick blades.
I'd like to see blade shapes modeled after the GB and AR where the blade belly drops below the edge of the handle.

Well, I am not a big fan of 420HC - even it is best 420 and Buck makes it perfect. But 154CM is better and Paul Bos make it perfect too. When I see top line model with 420HC I always imagining what deos I miss if it will be in 154CM. And I have same mixed emotions when I see Buck-Strider with cheap plastic handle etc.

Thanks, Vassili.

I'd like to see a plain-edged SBT in G-10, with a lock back (more towards the middle or front like an Al Mar or Spyderco versus near the butt like the 110) available in both 420HC and 154CM. If the 420HC has to be in TACCOM, that's cool, too. I think that the 'Police Advocate' outfitted with a lockback would be one of the toughest folders out there.

With all the small fixed blades in the Strider lineup, I think that's one category that the Buck/Strider lineup could use. We already have two folders and a large and medium FB, so how about a 3-4" blade? I'd like to see spearpoint and tanto versions, 3/16" 154CM, and a kydex sheath with Tek-lok and plenty of grommets for improvised carry options. With a smaller FB Buck could use 154CM instead of 420HC and still keep it affordable.

Regardless of what's new, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I agree about the small fixed blade. Its just too difficult to carry a long fixed blade for most people.

This all depends on what Strider wants to do of course.

... shouldn't it be more about, what we want them to do?

i mean i'm certainly not saying anyone has to make their decisions based on customer demands... but i have more respect for a company that does...

Strider EB comes in tanto but the solution does not come in tanto.

The Strider backup fixed blades are small but great for discreet carry. I hoping for a backup fixed blade buck strider.
