I have a condor 3 day assault:

I thought it was pretty much perfect, but then I switched from the condor compact modular assault to it's originators design, the maxpedition falcon 2 and the shift in quality was really impressive. there was only really 3 differences:
1- the shoulder straps went all the way into the bag. the condor was attached by webbing, so the distance of the shoulder pad was adjustable but I'm never going to adjust it.
2- the shoulder pads on the black hawk are longer and have a built in curve. the condor's are just straight so and stop at the ribs, so they jab into them instead of wrapping around the torso.
3- water resistant coating on the inside of all surfaces. this makes the maxpedition version seem stiffer, more rugged, and just better in general. it is heavier and will take longer to break in, but I much prefer it.
SO...I was looking at my 3 day assault from condor. there are 2 things that kinda suck on it, the back padding is covered in this plastic fabric material that is really really loud, and none of the fabric is treated on the inside. On the plus side it's got great storage space set up and and a complete molle platform on the front. it's kind of annoying when manufacturers eat up a big flat surface with either nothing or a logo. for 70$ it's an amazing pack, but if I could get a maxpedition version of it I would totally save up. unfortunately all of maxpeditions bags are less cu and they don't have the same pocket set up and size, something I'd like to maintain.
Condors 3 day assault was taken directly from this design (I assume, I wouldn't think blackhawk would take from condor but it's possible):

I'm getting a blackhawk bag in the next week or so so I'll be able to tell the construction from it. Wheat I like about the maxpedition most is the interior weather treatment. I would really really prefer a pack from them, but they don't make anything like this pack that I've seen.
Are there any other pack makers that's have his set up (large main compartment, large second compartment with smaller compartment above or below, 2 side pockets) that's 2,800-3,000 cubic inches?
