I've come to the conclusion that no matter what other folders I buy I can't get away from the Sebenza! Of course I don't want too!:D 've picked up a few nice production knives in the past couple of months to include a Cuda Maxx ( closet thing to an XXL Sebbie there is), a BM 806D2, a MT Tachyon, and a couple of others. As of now they are sold! I just can't find the satisfaction in any other folder that the Sebbie gives. I was riding down the road today flicking ( I know BAD WORD ) my large Madagascar Rosewood Classic open and shut and just amazed at how effortless the motion to get it to just "snick" open. I mean just a bare effort to start it and it just falls into place.

I had written in an earlier post that the jury was out on the wood inlaid Classic that I had picked up but the jury has come back in and the verdict was........a KEEPER!:D In fact I have now given my leather inlaid Classic, of which I am so very fond a rest and been carrying the wood for a couple of weeks now.

As I said the others I've purchased over the past few months are being sold to fund my 2001 Ironwood to go back to Boise for double thumblugs and a swedge. Guess the left over will start a fund for my next Sebbie...........or maybe a Surefire MG Magnum. Now that would be the Sebenza of the flashlight world!!

Just some thoughts and ramblings on a warm early summers eve here in the South!!:) :D

Yeah, I haven't bought a Spyderco in months, and their Calypso is one of my favorites for edc, along with the Harpy, Calypso, jr., and serr. Delica. I've been carrying my large cgg seb since I received it in March, and I recently added a Busse Assault Shaker to the lineup for edc, along with a SAK Rambler and a Spyderco Navigator used for a money clip. The sebbie is lovely, both esthetically and functionally, and I've broken it down a few times already, sometimes for cleaning and sometimes just because I enjoy it.

I haven't bought a seb recently, although I have purchased five different ones since March, including a NICA tanto, flat ground, and a small unique classic. Also, I have a 2003 large wood inlay on order. Really, though, my money has been going to Ohio lately, with a Satin Jack and three of the new little knives on order. :D

Yours in moderately pricey knife love,
Frank

The closest I've come to my small Sebbie, satisfaction wise, is my V-nox Soldier. The two are worlds apart, but they are the best EDC knives I've ever held. My knife buying sure has slowed down since that first Sebenza.:)

:)

And that Surefire M6 would do the job in style! I'm about to pick up an M4 as we speak...

Sebenza's are something else indeed. I've owned about every custom or production folder on the market at some point, it seems, and currently have some of the nicest offered; including an Emerson CQC6, a Terzoula Damascus/Mokume ATCF, custom PC/BM Balisongs, just about every BM ever made, and plenty-o-others. I've since sold most of my collection too, except for a select few as seen here ;):

I don't want to carry anything other than my small, double-lugged Seb. I love it so much in fact, that I've got spares in my safe. Call me obsessive, nuts, what have you, but if and when (God forbid) I mislay my small Seb., I shan't wait for a replacement!

:)

The Sebenza line is the yardstick for fit, finish, and impeccable construction-method by which all folders, custom and production are measured. Why there have ever been complaints about price when customs doubling and tripling that price don't measure up, I have no clue in England.

.......spoken like a true Sebenzinista Professor! Only thing that might come close to the Sebbie would be something like a Chikin-Biscuit model!:D :D

Hope you have a great time at Blade. IF, and I mean IF I get there I would like to meet up at BM at 12:30 and meet you fella's! If not flick a 'benza for me:eek:

We'll be at the Benchmade booth around 12:30pm on Saturday, and I hope to see you and everyone come by and say "hi." We're doing lunch around 1pm, and anyone and everyone's welcomed to join in on that affair as well!
